This Research Use Agreement applies to every purchase from Ascent Sciences. By submitting an order, you accept it in full.
1. Research use only
All products sold by Ascent Sciences are research chemicals supplied solely for in-vitro laboratory research and analytical use. They are not for human or animal consumption, injection, ingestion, inhalation, topical application, or any clinical, diagnostic, therapeutic or veterinary use.
2. Not drugs, foods, supplements or cosmetics
Our products are not drugs, foods, dietary supplements or cosmetics, and have not been evaluated or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any disease. Product names identify the chemical compound only. Ascent Sciences is not affiliated with any pharmaceutical manufacturer, and its products are not FDA-approved drug products.
3. Your representations
By purchasing, you confirm that:
- you are at least 21 years of age;
- you are purchasing for legitimate laboratory research, and the products will be handled only by qualified individuals using appropriate laboratory safety practices;
- you will not use, sell, give or otherwise supply the products for human or animal use of any kind;
- you will comply with all laws and regulations that apply to the purchase, possession, handling, storage and disposal of the products in your jurisdiction.
4. No dosing or medical information
Ascent Sciences does not provide dosing, administration, usage or medical information of any kind. Information on this website, including product descriptions and certificates of analysis, is provided for identification and research context only.
5. Right to refuse or cancel orders
We may refuse or cancel any order, at any time, if we believe the products may be used in a manner inconsistent with this Agreement. This includes any request for dosing or human-use information.
6. Assumption of risk and indemnity
You assume all risks associated with the purchase, handling, storage, use and disposal of the products. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Ascent Sciences from, and agree to indemnify and hold it harmless against, any claims, losses or liabilities arising from your purchase, handling, use or misuse of the products, or from your breach of this Agreement.
